Cradle to College

  • Free early learning and childcare: Ensure families have access to free childcare and high-quality pre-K so children can start school ready to learn.  That means helping parents afford care, expanding access to trusted programs in every community, supporting early educators with better training and pay, and giving every child the strong start they need to succeed in school and beyond.

  • Strong public schools: Support fair K–12 funding, especially for schools serving low-income communities, so students have qualified teachers, modern classrooms, and the tools they need to succeed.  That means investing in smaller class sizes where needed, better teacher pay and support, updated facilities, arts and special education programs, and the technology and resources every student deserves.

  • Free higher education: Make community college tuition-free for working families, expand grant aid, and strengthen pathways to four-year degrees. That means reducing student debt, opening doors to opportunity, and ensuring that cost is never a barrier to earning the education and credentials needed for a better future.

  • Career and technical training: Expand vocational education, apprenticeships, and workforce training so students can enter the trades, healthcare, manufacturing, and other growing fields.  That means building stronger partnerships with employers, unions, and community colleges, aligning training with real jobs, and creating clear pathways into good-paying careers without unnecessary debt.
Education should open doors, reduce inequality, and prepare the next generation for success. I will fight for a system that gives every student, in every community, a real chance to succeed regardless of race, creed or income.
